Its always nice to be in Saigon, great street food aside wi-fi places are so easy to find. Almost every budget and mid-range accommodation offers free wi-fi.

Vietnamese Ice Coffee and free wi-fi, another cafe near the Ben Thanh Market.

The nice thing about Vietnamese cafe is that they don’t mind if you use the power to charge your computer.

  1. Fanny Ice Cream is nice. Saigon has many great wifi cafes, my favorite being Highlands Coffee at Saigon Centre. How long you in Saigon for?

  2. I greatly enjoyed your travel photos and your simple words. You said so much with so little. Soon, I and my wife and children are moving to Xian, China. One who loves smiles and bears such stories as you do would be a welcome guest. The world is full of possibilities… Peace and smiles to you on your journey.- Van

  3. great blog!i’m planning on bring my laptop and was wondering doesn’t vietnam have a different voltage than the States?if charging my laptop, should a buy a voltage converter?

  4. HI AJ, Most newer laptops these days have power adapters that can work on both the US and Asian voltages. Just look for some text on your power adapter that says “100 to 240 Volts” .You might have to buy a power adapter as the plugs in Vietnam are different. YOu can buy these at the airpors.

  7. They use 220V there so you also need a voltage converter if your electronic stuffs such as laptop / digital camera – camcorder, etc do not come from factories with dual voltages My recommendation is NOT to visit this communist country at all – They are very bad.
