Yes, That is squid (ika) stuffed with something and sealed at the ends with the stick. What is it stuffed with?

It has rice inside. The rice is stuffed inside and then the whole thing is simmered in sauce.
The word in the white on top ã�„ã�‹ reads ika and below that the ã‚�ã�—reads meshi. The line in the middle in blue talks about the place ika meshi is from – 森 -Mori. Check out the last station from this list of

Fascinating, I could imagine myself enjoying that. I’ve always been curious… do you travel around Asia everyday? I see foods from all over the place!
They were selling these at about S$5 a squid during a ‘Hokkaido Fair’ at Tampines Mall last month. And I think Medi-Ya stocks them in vacuum packed plastic bags that you had to dunk into boiling water to heat up.
